Trainee Solicitors x 2
Two Year Fixed Term Contract
Salary Grade: £18, 319 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for two trainee solicitors to work and train across two “blue light” services in Merseyside: Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority (MFRA) and Merseyside Police (MP). Both trainees will be employed by MFRA and seconded for 2 separate 6 month periods to MP.
This opportunity will be at the forefront of collaboration between these two services, offering an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in two organisations both committed to public safety. We are interested in flexible and equally committed trainees who are interested in a unique training contract.
If you think you would like to have responsibility for your own files and the chance to carry out advocacy in open court then our training contract could be for you. The post holder will undertake their training by working in many areas of the Legal Service of both organisations in 6 monthly rotations. Your first (and hopefully only) attempt to complete the academic stage of your legal training is paid for by MFRA and MP (Professional Skills Course). You will have the opportunity to participate in and advise on a wide range of legal and quasi legal functions such as prosecutions, commercial conveyancing, employment, civil litigation and contract law as well as the chance to deepen your knowledge of administrative law.
Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 14th October 2018
