Fire Safety Inspectors
Community Fire Protection Team
Community Risk Management Directorate
Permanent Contract
Salary: Grade 8 £26,999 - £28,785 per annum
Location: Merseyside
Hours: 35 per week
Our Fire Protection Staff work
closely with businesses, housing providers and other responsible persons to
ensure that they meet their legal responsibilities with regards to Fire Safety,
and that their premises are safe for those who use them.
Within our growing Protection Department there is a well-structured and
supported development path through all our roles and career progression is
actively encouraged.
Fire Safety Inspectors complete Inspections of all regulated premises including
those incorporating fire engineering principles. They can investigate and
report on breaches of fire safety legislation for the commencement of legal
prosecutions. They can report on submissions in liaison with building control
bodies and advise on fire safety issues relating to the construction,
demolition and/or refurbishment of regulated premises. They are qualified to
take enforcement action for a breach of fire safety legislation.
