An exciting opportunity has arisen within Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) for a Health & Safety / Operational Assurance Technical Officer to join our H&S Team based as Service Headquarters.
The post holder’s main duty is to provide technical and administrative support to the Health & Safety and Operational Assurance departments. The role helps to, plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventive measures in place to work towards minimising operational losses, Occupational Health problems, accidents and injuries.
The successful candidate should have experience of working in a busy and dynamic team environment; enjoy working across a number of different activities and is comfortable communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally. A basic knowledge of H&S and Operational Assurance underpinned by good IT skills is preferable.
