STATION MANAGER B
Salary: (Competent SMB) £45,861 + 20% flexible duty allowance


Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) would welcome external applications from individuals wishing to join the Service in the role of Station Manager B.

As a Station Manager you will:
Be an exceptional team player, with highly developed leadership skills and the ability to inspire and maintain outstanding performance from others.
Provide a positive role model to staff and the wider community in order to promote the values of the Service.
Be part of the management team in formulating and being accountable to Station/Departmental plans.
Support and contribute to the development and delivery of the Service’s Integrated Risk Management Plan.
Be committed to developing yourself and take an active role in developing your team.

Station Manager is the primary role for applications with vacancies available in a variety of functions.




ELIGIBILITY FOR ROLES: You will be a substantive Watch Manager wishing to progress or an existing Station Manager wishing to broaden your knowledge and skills. Applications from candidates who are not currently employed by a Local Authority Fire & Rescue Service within the UK, will not be considered.

Stage 1: Assessment including role related exercises and psychometrics
Intermediate Command Assessment
Stage 2: Interview & Presentation

On appointment candidates will undertake an induction and development programme tailored to their experience and competencies to support their transition.
