Human Resources Assistant

Salary: £19,312 - £19,698

Hours:  35 hours per week

Location: Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L30 4YD

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is a fast paced and dynamic organisation with high expectations.

We are looking to recruit a Human Resources Assistant to join our People and Organisational Development Directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting off on their Human Resources career who is looking for their next step, or someone wishing to start a career in Human Resources.

The role entails, amongst other things, providing a comprehensive support service to work colleagues in the Workforce Planning and People Services Team. You will coordinate and be responsible for a range of employment related processes and practices, working closely with the Recruitment and Payroll Teams. Maintaining employment records and issuing Contracts of Employment are also important responsibilities.

You should have a good standard of education and possess GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent. In addition, experience of working as part of a team in a busy office environment is essential, as is the proficient use of Microsoft packages.

Furthermore, you should; possess excellent inter-personal skills, be able to meet deadlines and prioritise your workload, work with confidential information and have a strong customer-focused outlook.
