Workshop Assistant

Salary: £19,312 - £19,698

Hours:  35 hours per week

Location: Engineering Centre, Vesty Road, Bootle, Merseyside

We are looking to recruit a Workshop Assistant to work at our busy Engineering Centre.

Key responsibilities will include; ensuring the Workshop and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, carry out steam cleaning, washing and valeting of a range of vehicles, plant and equipment and undertake driving duties to collect and deliver vehicles, parts and materials across all of Merseyside.

In addition, a key duty is to support the work of colleagues and undertake general tasks to support the smooth running of the Workshop.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a similar role and especially of working in a Workshop environment together with a good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and practices.

The ability to be a strong team player, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and be flexible and adaptable are also essential requirements. Furthermore, a full valid UK driving licence is vital.

 The working arrangements are; 8.00am - 4.15 pm, Monday to Friday and 8.00am – 1.00pm, Friday.
