Salary: £11,790 - £12,025 per annum
Hours: 21 hours per week (part time)
Contract: permanent contract
Location: Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L30 4YD
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is a fast paced and dynamic
organisation with high expectations.
We are looking to recruit a Human Resources Assistant to join our Occupational Health & Capability Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting off on their Human
Resources career who is looking for their next step, or someone wishing to
start a career in Human Resources.
The role entails, amongst other things,
providing acomprehensive support service to colleagues in the Occupational Health & Capability Team.
This includes assisting with the administration of
the Service’s occupational health and medical procedures including booking
medical and health screening appointments, management of the medical diary and
processing associated correspondence. Organising capability hearings, collating and
preparing hearing packs for capability (absence/ other duties cases) for HR and
Service Managers.
In addition to maintaining
and updating the occupational health and sickness information on the Service’s
computerised database, such as health screening/medical results, GP notes and
welfare updates.
Other duties include the administration of a range of occupational
health related processes and practices, working closely with Payroll Teams and
ensuring all employment records are accurately maintained.
You should have a good standard of education and possess GCSE Maths and
English, or equivalent. In addition, experience of working as part of a team in
a busy office environment is essential, as is the proficient use of Microsoft
packages.
Furthermore, you should; possess excellent inter-personal skills, be
able to meet deadlines and prioritise your workload, work with confidential
information and have a strong customer-focused outlook.
