Are you looking for a career where you make a real
difference to peoples’ lives everyday? Do you enjoy working as part of a
large team to achieve positive outcomes?
Our Vulnerable Person Advocates work across
Merseyside delivering a whole range of initiatives to make our communities
safer from fire. You’ll be working alongside colleagues to provide home
safety advice; assist our Firefighters with the assessment and installation of
safety equipment; and support our partners in a number of community outreach
projects.
We are seeking Advocates to come and join our passionate
Community team. There will be a requirement for the postholders to work
across Merseyside.
What are we looking for?
You don’t need to have any previous experience of working
in fire safety but having experience of working within the community would be essential. It is important that you are able to manage
your own workload. It goes without saying that you will have excellent
interpersonal skills and have the ability to reassure vulnerable people whilst
being clear in what you are saying. You will be highly motivated and will
be able to work flexibly around the requirements of the role.
What can we offer you?
·
Full flexible working arrangements with a 35 hour working week
·
23 days’ holiday, (rising to 28 days after 5 years’ service) plus
Bank holidays and 2 additional Extra Statutory days added to the holiday
entitlement
·
Access to free on-site gym
·
Free, secure parking
·
On-site canteen
·
Contributory pension by both the employee and by MFRS
·
Excellent Occupational Health services and Employee Assistance
Programme
Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 26th March 2023
Interview: To be confirmed.
