WATCH MANAGER A
Salary: Watch Manager A £34,502 + 10% Retained
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) are now inviting applications from substantive Crew Managers / Watch Managers for the role of Watch Manager A with positions available at a number of stations in Merseyside.
MFRS is an excellent forward thinking Authority which is looking for high performing, motivated and talented individuals to contribute to the Service Mission “Safer Stronger Communities – Safe Effective Firefighters”.
Positions are currently available on the Services whole-time day crewed system.
The normal hours of work on the day crewing duty system will be 48 hour day crewing (4 x 12 hour days) with 48 hours retained over 8 days (to run concurrently). The retained cover allows for resilience and is based on a 30 minute response into station to ensure operational availability is maintained.
You will satisfy the essential criteria for the Watch Manager role (set out in the Person Specification) and will currently be operating in one of the below roles.
- Substantive Watch Manager
- Temporary Watch Manager
- Substantive Crew Manager
Interested candidates that meet the above criteria should complete an application form prior to the closing date of Midnight, Sunday 17th September 2017. Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in a 2 day assessment event, which will consist of a command assessment, fitness and swim test, presentation and interview.
The assessment stage is scheduled for early October 2017.
