Group Manager

Salary: from £44,018 (in development) to £48,796 plus 20% flexible duty allowance

  • You will be responsible for managing the activities of a functional area through performance management and quality assurance processes.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and maintain outstanding performance from others.
  • You will have a demonstrable ability to lead change in a complex and evolving environment.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to engage constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will have demonstrated high levels of ability with regard to the implementation and management of key projects

  • You will be required to manage and lead operational incidents as Incident Commander, or in other incident command support roles in accordance with the requirements of EFSM2 and local standard operating procedures.

You will be a substantive Station Manager looking to progress or an existing Group Manager wishing to broaden your knowledge and skills. The application form should be submitted by the closing date of Midnight, Sunday 20th August 2017.


Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in a bespoke assessment centre.

5- 7 September 2017:    Assessment Centre and interview. The assessment centre will consist of, presentation and interview and a command assessment.
