Fire & Rescue National Resilience Secondment Opportunity

UK ISAR Deputy National Coordinator

Salary: Station Manager B, plus flexible duty allowance 

On behalf of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) is the Lead Authority for the co-ordination of Fire & Rescue Services response to international disasters. MFRS are seeking applications from existing FRS specialists who wish to undertake a secondment into MFRA on behalf of NFCC UK ISAR, as ISAR Deputy National Coordinator.

This is a full time secondment opportunity to ensure that the UK ISAR capability is fully prepared to respond to international incidents as outlined in the MOU UK Fire and Rescue Sector Support to Her Majesty’s Government for Emergency Response Operations Overseas. The post holder will provide capability support and advice to a range of Governmental/non-governmental stakeholders.

The duration of the secondment is until 31st March 2022 with a view for further extension following EDT 2 program confirmation for UK ISAR.

*Please note, the successful candidate will be seconded into Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for administration purposes for the length of the secondment. You must be employed in a UK Fire & Rescue Service to be able to apply*.
